Eat Your Way to Health: Foods that Combat Inflammation

Eating healthy is not just about maintaining a balanced diet, it’s also about including specific foods that can help fight inflammation. Olive oil is another great food choice when it comes to fighting off inflammation due its main component oleocanthal which has similar effects as anti-inflammatory drugs. Additionally, it’s heart-healthy and good for brain health.

In contrast, there are foods that can trigger inflammation such as refined carbohydrates, fried foods, sugary drinks and red meat. These should be consumed in moderation or avoided altogether if possible.

Remember that while food is a powerful tool for improving health and fighting disease, it’s just one piece of the puzzle. Regular exercise, adequate sleep and stress management are also crucial to reducing inflammation and promoting overall health.
